Almost 3 am

Here it is almost 3 am and I can not sleep. My mind is going 90 miles an hour. Anthony's employer lost their contract at work. That means unless he transfers out of town with them, he has to find a new job. He has already interviewed with the company that has won the bid. However, at first look their benefits are not as good. So we have lots of decisions to make. All this while my employer is going through a structure change. There are questions left unanswered there as well. I am a planner and don't deal with the unknown very well. I am trying to hand all this over to God and lay it at His feet. I'm failing at that too. :(. I just want answers which I know will come in His time. I pray for peace. For Anthony as he submits applications and resumes, for me to be a helpful wife, mom and employee and for the kids as they go about their daily routines knowing that change is coming in one way or another.

Two for Two

So I've walked/ran 2 days in a row. Soooo cold this evening. I'm going to miss tomorrow because of doing concessions at the middle school basketball game. A commitment that I should keep. It's important for the school to do concessions... They make good money that goes right back to the students. I found that out through being a member of Parent Advisory Council. Anyway, I've also been soda free for two days. Concessions won't change that. :). I am committed to making 2013 my year to be healthier. I'm also going to be doing more Bible reading and strengthening my relationship with Jesus. Off for my reading. :)

2013: A Look Ahead

Just a few things that 2013 will bring to the Troester 5:

January 6, my birthday
February 5, Hallie's 12th birthday
March 22, Nathaniel's 15th birthday
April 5, James' 18th birthday
May 3, James' senior prom
May, James' high school graduation
June, Nathaniel begins drivers ed
August, our 22nd anniversary of being "Anthony and Marilyn"
August, Hallie's start of 7th grade and Nathaniel's start of his sophomore year along with James being an official college student
September, our 20th wedding anniversary
November 29, Anthony's birthday

These are just a few of things that will be happening in the Troester household in 2013.
